Micro-scissor lift Instant Lift with 5m working height

Micro scissor lifts have been enjoying increasing popularity on the market for several years.
As versatile helpers, the lightweight devices replace many ladders, easels or scaffolding.
Due to the ease of handling and the low weight, they can be used flexibly, e.g. for racking, installation work, or cleaning and painting work.

To meet the increased demand, Rothlehner recently introduced the Instant Lift ES30TAI. This is a push-around scissor lift, i. by hand without electric drive. The device offers 5m working height and 240kg basket load. With a gross weight of 358 kg and a width of only 0.74 m, it is the lightest and one of the narrowest in the 5 m class.

More trained technicians for the BRONTO service

As part of the focus training of our Lift-Manager service technicians, four technicians were once again training for one week at the BRONTO plant in Finland – see photo.
Thus, six technicians in Germany are state-of-the-art, including the so-called Blue Calibration Key, which includes the latest B5 + control.
Up to three firefighting BRONTOs were at the same time for repairs and 10-year checks in one of our workshops, as most recently in Jänkendorf the devices from Salzbergen, Neustadt / Dosse and from Klasterec / Czech Republic – see photo.
In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, there are also some Bronto industrial equipment from energy suppliers in Rothlehner’s service department.
In Austria, a new workshop in Villach will soon be offering the opportunity to further expand the Bronto service in Austria. The service technician on site, also equipped with a blue key,
has been carrying out repairs and annual maintenance at fire brigades in Austria for years, including in South Tyrol or Bosnia. Operator training at fire departments, as recently in Weiz / Styria are also part of the program.

Energetab fair in Poland, september 2019 –

In September the ENERGETAB took place again in Bielsko-Biala (PL). This fair is only an hour’s drive from our location in Skawina / Krakow.

The Energetab is aimed primarily at customers in the energy sector. The sales-team from Poland presented at the fair a selection from the working platform program. Over the past two decades, GSR truck mounted aerial platforms have become established on the Polish market; numerous customers in the energy sector use special truck-mounteds platforms for e.g. for the maintenance and installation of power lines.

• What are the core competencies of the Rothlehner Group?

As a trading and service company in the area of work platforms, we are represented in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia with our own companies as well as with sales and service in the south-eastern EU countries.
The product range covers all common categories of working platforms.
Our core competencies include a solid needs assessment, delivering quality products, comprehensive and long-term care, and reliable service. All from one hand.

One must see the achievements of “Rothlehner” as a company group with seven individual companies. Last but not least, our strengths are the result of many years of know-how from our foreign subsidiaries and the service division, which has grown over decades, and which is probably unique in its form.

Short to the history:
In 1976 I started with used equipment in the work platform industry. Many services up to 45m working height we have e.g. mostly self-made with truck turntable ladders. Thus, valuable practical experience was gained in the craft, tree service and in the work platform rental.

The number of DENKALIFTs grew in the rental fleet at the beginning of the 1980s, and in 1988 we took over general sales in Germany for this brand. From 1991, the focus was already exclusively on the trade and customer service. At the time, my brother took over the lease and developed it independently under “Rothlehner Konrad – Liftverleih”.

After the fall of the Wall, an exciting pioneering work began in the new federal states. At the same time, from the beginning of the 1990s, I founded subsidiaries in Austria and in neighboring countries to the east. The origins of the service company Lift-Manager also date back to this time. This was founded in 1991 together with Roland Jäkel as “Roland Jäkel GmbH” and initially provided the service for the devices sold by Rothlehner in the new federal states.
In 2001, the service merger of Rothlehner in the old federal states with the service structures in the east of the country and the renaming into “Lift Manager GmbH”.
Today, Lift-Manager employs around 80 people. More than half of them are technicians with different focus training for different brands.
With Lift-Manager, our customers in Germany have a nationwide workshop network, more than 20 mobile emergency vehicles, spare parts supply for various brands and much more. to disposal.

At the beginning of the 2000s, we introduced new product lines, most notably GSR truck bodies, of which we have so far brought and cared for around 1,200 units.

• How did it happen that you have been producing the DENKALIFT models yourself since 2013?

After more than 30 years of close cooperation with DENKALIFT, we took over the production of these devices in June 2013. Not least due to the frequent changes of owners, investors and managing directors, the Danish manufacturer experienced considerable turbulence.
For us it was an opportunity to take over the rights and parts and to maintain and develop this prestigious brand DENKALIFT.

Since 1988, we have sold more than 3,000 new DENKALIFTs and are able to take care of the customers with devices of old years and to deliver spare parts reliably.
We continue to offer new products, parts and technical support to our worldwide customers. Even though a considerable part of the trailer segment has shifted to 3,5to truck platforms and tracked platforms, we see the market for our DENKALIFT products as a stable niche and even notice a certain return to this device concept.

Various tradesman sectors and end user areas still ideally cover the vast majority of tasks with trailer platforms. Many customers still see the DENKALIFTs as flexible all-round devices, easy to operate, stable and reliable, and high value retention.

Technical innovations such as new controls, modern charging technology, auto-leveling and a range of useful optional extras have been implemented over the last few years.
Lift-Manager is assigned the task of international spare parts supply and technical support.

• The DENKALIFT DL22N belongs to the “narrow special devices”.
What kind of work platform is this?

Rothlehner co-developed the concept of the DENKALIFT Narrow in collaboration with DENKALIFT in the 1990s. These are narrow self-propelled aerial platforms with low floor loading and minimal dimensions. With a clearance height of less than 2m and a minimum width of 0.89m, the devices fit through all standard doors. The stability and longevity of the DENKA models are shared by all Narrow versions with 19m, 22m, 25m and 28m, which also originate from the DENKA modular system.

The battery-powered, lightweight devices can be variably supported and built in very tight spaces. Especially for special indoor applications in atriums, shopping malls, airports or churches, the Narrow has its advantages: low floor load, small passage width, variable support and a high lateral reach.

The GSR B220PXE on Mercedes Benz 311 CDI has a linkage without substructure under the basket.

As a result, it is particularly suitable for applications in which it is necessary to drive close to and exactly on obstacles from above, e.g. during installation work or PV cleaning on roofs.

See all advantages of this machine in the video:

The articulated telescopic platform offers 21.50m working height and max. 250kg basket load. The maximum lateral reach of 11.40m is achieved with a basket load of 120kg.
The model on Mercedes Sprinter is equipped with an electro-hydraulic control; H-pillars and vertical pillars are used at the front. Optionally, the function “Automatic levelling” and much more.  Reduced, ergonomic controls on the floor and in the basket simplify handling.

Truck-mounted platform GSR B200TJ on spezial chassis –

Rothlehner pracovni plosiny s.r.o. in Prague has assembled a special device and delivered to the Prague Public Transit Company.
The GSR B200TJ working platform has been mounted on an Iveco ML80E21D chassis and is used for maintenance on railway and tram routes and wagons. The truck platform with 20m working height, 13m outreach and 250kg basketload has been equipped for this purpose according to customer requirements with a range of optional extras. For example: a voltage transformer, many types of storage boxes for tools and equipment, a double insulation and the option „limited lifting function without outriggers“.

Once again, our colleagues in Prague have demonstrated their competence in the construction of special truck mounted work platforms.

New Truck Stage GSR B220PXE for Work Platform Rental Kirsch –

The work platform owner Helmut Kirsch in Pegnitz recently added a new GSR B220PXE to his fleet.
Founded in 1992, the company also offers scaffolding and services for construction site operations in addition to aerial work platform rental.
The new B220PXE will be used above all for work on roofs (for example, PV cleaning, roofers, chimney sweeps, etc.). The articulation without substructure under the work basket, this model is particularly well suited for these purposes.

The B220PXE offers 21.50m working height, 250kg basket load and maximum 11.40m (120kg) lateral reach. Electrohydraulic proportional control with H-pillars at the front and vertical outriggers at the rear. The delivered device has the options “Automatic levelling” and a rotating beacon.

Herrmann & Wittrock GmbH & Co. KG has added another trailer platform of the type DENKA•LIFT DK25 trailer platform to the rental park. With over 20 branches in Germany, the Wittrock Group is a well-known name on the market of aerial work platform and construction machinery rental companies.

Now another 25m telescopic platform has been commissioned at the yard in Berlin. Demand for Hermann and Wittrock is the result of increased demand, especially in large cities. Trailer work platforms are lightweight and compact (for example, DK25: 25m working height at 2,450kg). They easily reach locations with narrow, low driveways, such as in courtyards or buildings. They are suitable for working on soils with low load capacity, eg. As green areas, gymnasiums or parking decks. The delivered DK25 has in addition to the extensive standard equipment still a gasoline power generator.
